Wabi-Sabi

The next group show at Chimera Gallery, one in which I will be participating, starts on August 9th and is entitled "Wabi-Sabi".

Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity (roughness or irregularity), simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes.

Sometimes it is extremely difficult to assimilate the theme of a show into your work, or even envision how it might be expressed in your particular medium.

However, in this case, I'm totally inspired!  And I just might borrow the title as my muse for this next phase of my work.
